The Intimacy Project: Male Intimacy
The Intimacy Project is a collection of images by and for the LGBT community. The goal is to portray diversity within the realm of intimacy, both in the people experiencing it, as well as the kinds of intimacy that they experience. This project is an ongoing exploration of intimacy and love that is not restricted by societal expectations and was made to represent the underrepresented.
I would like to use art as a way to promote acceptance of all groups not within the mainstream of today’s society. I believe it is largely lack of exposure that upholds many prejudices and allows people to build uneducated guesses about what the lives of the people within the LGBT community are like. Hopefully the images within this project will give a very real portrayal of love and I intimacy that will allow those with lack of exposure to see that it does not look as foreign as they may have once thought because...
